SOUTH FLORIDA – Miami Carnival’s Board of Administrators and our neighborhood are devastated by the sudden passing of Antiguan singer, songwriter, entertainer, and entrepreneur Ricardo Drue, a headliner at our Carnival Live performance this previous October.
Ricardo graced our stage a number of occasions all through the final decade, leaving an indelible mark along with his infectious vitality and voice. Identified for his highly effective soca songs, together with “Final One Standing,” “Twister,” “Vagabond,” and so many extra, Ricardo held a particular place in our Miami Carnival household, and his absence might be keenly felt throughout the complete Carnival neighborhood.
We provide our honest condolences to Ricardo’s household and buddies and our many buddies in Antigua & Barbuda as they navigate by this difficult second. Relaxation in Peace, Ricardo.
With love and heartfelt prayers, Miami Broward One Carnival Chair, Joan Hinkson-Justin
